History of Prezzybox

Prezzybox is an online gift and gift idea store which celebrated its 15th year of trading in 2015. It was founded by Zak Edwards and his father at his parents' house in Warwickshire, using the proceeds from the sale of a previous business to start up.

The business was inspired by the success of sites like Lastminute.com and Boo.com. The company went through some tough times during the recent recession but last year had a £3.2m turnover.

Originally the aim was to use drop shipping, that is not to have any stock but to act as an intermediary, taking orders from customers and having orders shipped directly from the manufacturer to the buyer. But after a couple of years, the group began to order in stock, leading to a move to a large farmhouse next to the house which had come up for sale.

In 2004 the second version of the Prezzybox website was launched, a step closer to the one known and loved today. Two years later, the company begin using Netlynk, an Oxford based firm, to fulfil its orders and a third version of the website also went live. In 2009 Prezzybox was voted Interactive Media in Retail Group (IMRG) retail shop of the year.

Delivery Information

Prezzybox offers five delivery option to its customers, enabling you to choose the most convenient. These include standard UK delivery which costs £3.95, next day delivery if the order is placed by 1pm which costs £5.95 and before 10am delivery, where orders are placed before 1pm, which costs £12.95. There is also an option of next day delivery before noon, where orders are placed before 1pm. This costs £9.95, as does Saturday delivery.

Returns Policy

There is a no quibbles guarantee when you shop with Prezzybox, meaning you can shop with confidence and any unwanted items can be returned. The only caveat is that goods should be in a resaleable condition - that is unused with all parts, accessories, instructions and packaging. They should be returned within 14 days.

The exceptions are personalised gifts, perishable products, toiletries, underwear or intimate items. You pay postage costs.

To return an item you need to email using the contact form and request an authorisation code, complete a returns form and package the gifts well and include the form.

If the product you order is faulty, you have to return it within 30 days. Parcels or items damaged in transit should be reported by 3pm on the next working day by phone and by email.

Security & Reviews

Prezzybox takes the security of its customers' information very seriously and uses a number of features to protect it including 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. The site has been certified secure by a Certificate Authority (CA).
