History of Footasylum

Footasylum was launched in 2005 by JD Sports co-founders John Wardle and David Makin. Wardle and Makin's aim was for the new venture to be established as a specialist retailer of leading brand footwear and sportswear and to provide customers with a wide selection of big name brands and up and coming, on-trend street fashions all in one convenient store. With its headquarters in Rochdale, Footasylum currently boasts more than 30 stores around the UK and has more than 1,110 staff in its employ.

The past few years have seen the company grow from strength to strength, with reports in 2014 of sales of more than £60 million and plans put forward for further expansion across the UK following on from a flurry of new store openings. Its website also takes a large portion of its trade, with customers being able to access leading brands at the click of a button for delivery to their own homes.

Footasylum stocks many of the very latest trends in footwear and sports and street fashion, and often receive stock from leading brands of limited availability. The company keeps customers up to date with trends and stock news via direct mailings and in the news section of its website, where it also posts news of any discounts or special offers that it is promoting. Opening times

Store opening times differ from store to store, with some stores opening at later times such as those in retail parks or late night shopping centres. However, generally stores are open at the following times:

Monday to Saturday: 09.00 - 18.00Sundays: 11.00 - 17.00

Customer service lines are open Monday to Friday between 8am and 10pm, and between 8am and 7pm at weekends.

Delivery Information

UK standard delivery is free of charge for orders over £50 and costs £3.95 for orders below this amount. Standard deliveries are made within 2-4 days of purchase. Next day delivery costs £5.95 for orders placed by 9pm Monday to Friday and by 4pm Sunday for delivery on the next working day. A free Click and Collect service into store is available. Orders are delivered into store within 2-3 working days and customers are notified by email when their items are ready to collect. Footasylum also delivers to HM Forces personnel at BFPO addresses free of charge.

Orders are delivered by courier and are trackable online.

International delivery is available to selected overseas countries. Prices and lead times will vary depending on destination. Full details of international delivery charges and estimated delivery times are available on the Footasylum website.

Returns Policy

Unwanted resaleable items can be returned for a full refund for up to 14 days after delivery. Delivery costs will not be included in any refund amount and postal returns incur a £2.50 charge to the customer. Footasylum aims to process returns within 7 days, although some may take up to 30 days. Full details of the returns procedure are available on the Footasylum website.

PayPal purchases can be returned in-store, but customers should be aware that the items will be sent on to head office for the refund to be processed back into the customer's PayPal account.

Footasylum takes online payment security seriously and uses the latest SSL encryption systems and technology to ensure that personal information and payment data are secure throughout the payment process. This means that customers can have peace of mind regarding protection of their personal and payment data.
