Ebuyer.com was founded in 1999 by a group of IT developers and PC retail experts as an online-only retailer of low priced computer components that were hard to find elsewhere. It rapidly gained a great reputation and a solid cult following among IT enthusiasts looking for a one stop shop for their computing needs. As it grew, Ebuyer.com branched out and began to source and supply more mainstream electrical equipment including computers, TVs, kitchen equipment, domestic appliances, cameras and tablets, while still holding its reputation as the place to go for easily available computer components at great prices. It now has over 4 million registered customers and a team of 250 employees and since 2006 has been based at its purpose built warehouse and headquarters in Howden, in East Yorkshire, from which it delivers over 20,000 orders a week to UK customers.

Ebuyer.com has not had an altogether untroubled history. In 2005, Trading Standards received a large number of complaints about its poor customer service, and in 2011 the company ran a promotional campaign that was so successful their online systems were unable to keep up with demand and they received a lot of bad publicity and negative customer feedback as a result. The response to this was to step up customer service and run a campaign via customer forums to improve relations. This hard work has paid off and the company today has a good reputation for excellent customer service.

Returns Policy

Unused products can be returned for a full refund or exchange if you notify Ebuyer.com within 14 days of receiving the item and as long as it is returned in as new re-saleable condition. Refunds are issued to the original payment method after Ebuyer.com receives the returned package. Some exclusions apply, including opened or electronic downloaded software, and business customers should be aware that they have only 5 days to request a return. Faulty items can be returned within 28 days (14 days for business customers) and damaged items can be returned provided the request is made within seven days of receipt of the item by the customer (48 hours for business customers). Returns can be requested via Ebuyer.com's simple online returns form which can be easily accessed via the customer's own online account.
