History of Crew Clothing

Crew Clothing started small. It is a clothing brand that wanted to embody a lifestyle in its fabric. It was the early 1990s and Alastair Parker-Swift wanted to create something that captured the clean lines of English coastal wear and the effortless way in which it was worn. He developed his collection in the back of a windsurfing shop in Salcombe, the quintessential South Devon town, before taking it off to Cowes week on the Isle of Wight, the ultimate testing ground. The collection sold out, solidifying Alastair's faith in his brand and he sacrificed his place in the British ski team to develop it further.

At the heart of Crew Clothing is the idea that 'less is more'. Each piece is expertly crafted to take you through all aspects of your life, never forgetting the brand's English heritage. They are clothes you can depend upon to look great and feel right. Founder Alastair is genuinely excited for the future of Crew - and it shows. Today, Crew Clothing is the place to go for all of your wardrobe staples, including jeans, blazers, knitwear, shirts, sweaters and boots. You can find the pieces that, once bought, you'll wonder how you ever lived without them and the items that will take you from season to season. These are clothes to live in.

Opening Times

Store opening times differ from store to store, dependant on location, with London stores typically opening a little later. As a guide, the Salcombe store is open at the following times:

Monday to Friday - 9.00AM - 5.00PMSaturday - 9.00AM - 5.30PMSunday - 10.00AM - 4.00PM

Delivery Information

Crew Clothing offers a variety of delivery options to suit you:

- Standard UK delivery. £3.95 or free over £50. Delivered within 2 to 4 working days.- Next day delivery. £5.95. Delivered next day when ordered before 6pm.- Saturday delivery. £7.95. Delivered on Saturday when ordered before 6pm Friday.- International delivery. £5.95 - £15.95. Standard option is delivered in 5 to 12 working days, express option can take 2 to 5 working days.

There is also a Click and Collect option where items can be collected from year nearest store the next day completely free of charge when ordered by 2pm.

Returns Policy

Crew Clothing offer an exchange or refund on undamaged items within one month - or 14 days for sale items - with a valid receipt or despatch confirmation note. Items can be returned by completing the returns form found on your despatch note and enclosing it within your parcel. You will need to attach the pre-printed Royal Mail label, which can also be found on your despatch note, and take to a Post Office. Please note that postal charges will apply. Alternatively, items can be returned to any Crew store along with proof of purchase, except for orders paid for via Paypal which must be returned by post.

Security & Reviews

The Crew Clothing website uses the latest secure server technology to ensure your information is protected to the highest standard. The Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software used encrypts the information you input, ensuring that it is virtually impossible for unauthorised parties to read any information that you provide. A comprehensive privacy policy is also in place to ensure that your email address is never passed onto any other organisations. You are able to opt out of any mailings from Crew Clothing upon request.
